23) Rutkér of Matray, Tirol, Austria
Rutkér arrived in Hungary in the 12th century with the arrival of Queen Gertrude von Meran as the future bride to King András II of Hungary. His ancient home was Matray, which was anciently known as Matreium (and also Matrei) and was destroyed by the Bavarians in the 9th century. Rutkér was married to the sister of Adolf, the prépost of Szepes county. She was a lady-in-waiting to Queen Gertrude von Meran, wife of King András II of Hungary. Adolf was at one time the teacher of Queen Gertrude. Rutkér, his wife and Adolf all received vast amounts of land from King András II.
